Casual is the catch-all shelf, and on GameBuffed it is one of the busiest. These are games you can understand in about ten seconds and abandon without guilt: idle clickers, tap-timing challenges, sorting and stacking games, short arcade loops, and the odd surreal one-joke game that exists only to make you laugh once.
The common thread is low commitment. There is no tutorial to sit through, no save file to protect, no skill you need to have built up somewhere else. You open a tab, you play, you close the tab.
That makes this a good place to start if you have never used the site, or if you have ten minutes and no particular plan. It is also where the strangest titles end up, because casual is where developers experiment. Sort by newest if you want to see what turned up this week — this category turns over faster than any other, and half the fun is finding something you would never have searched for.
