DMCA / Copyright Policy

Last updated: 31 July 2026

GameBuffed respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains how to notify us about content you believe infringes your copyright.

How our catalogue works

We do not develop the games listed on this Site. Games are supplied by third-party HTML5 game distributors and are loaded from their servers. We publish a title, description, thumbnail and an embed for each game. If a game was supplied to us in error, we want to know.

Filing a copyright notice

If you are a copyright owner, or authorised to act on behalf of one, and you believe material on this Site infringes your copyright, send a written notice to contact@gamebuffed.com with the subject line “Copyright Notice”.

To let us act quickly, your notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorised to act on their behalf.

  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If several works are covered by a single notice, a representative list of those works.

  3. The exact URL (or URLs) on gamebuffed.com where the material appears, specific enough for us to locate it.

  4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.

  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.

Incomplete notices may delay our response. Please note that knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a copyright notice may expose you to liability for damages.

What we do when we receive a notice

We review every notice we receive. If a claim appears valid, we remove or disable access to the material, usually within a few business days, and where possible we pass the notice on to the distributor that supplied the game.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with the subject line “Copyright Counter-Notice”. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.

  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.

  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.

  4. Your name, mailing address and telephone number.

  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of a court in your district, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

Repeat infringers

We remove content and, where applicable, terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
