Arcade games are built around a single loop repeated until you fail. No story, no save file, no unlocking — just a rule you learn in one round and then try to survive longer than last time. That covers endless runners, jump-and-dodge challenges, brick breakers, snake and paper-io style area grabs, rhythm-timed obstacle courses, and high-score chasers where the whole game is one mechanic taken seriously.
The appeal is the honesty of it. You lose because you were too slow or too greedy, and both of those are fixable in the next thirty seconds. Score is the only progression, which makes these the easiest games here to pick up cold.
Everything plays in the browser with one hand — usually a single key, a click, or a tap. That makes arcade one of the better categories on a phone. If a game feels impossible on your first run, give it three more; almost all of them are designed so the second attempt already goes better.
